The Beginning: Chapter 1

This is the first blog of hopefully many that I will be making over time describing the book Blood Red Horse by K.M. Grant. I will be going a few chapters at a time so if you wanna follow along at home, be my guest.
Chapter 1:
In this chapter we are introduced to the 3 main characters:
William,
 Ellie,
and Gavin.
William and Gavin are two brothers, Gavin being the eldest.
 Ellie's mother died during childbirth, so now she lives with William, Gavin, and the rest of Sir Thomas's family.
The chapter starts off with William telling Ellie about how Gavin made fun of him and threw him into the horse trough (teh horse's bathtub). There is a lot of sibling rivalry that we can see between Gavin and William, even though its's just the beginning of the book, so it most-likely has a large impact on the rest of the plot. We also find out about how much William is a horse lover and wants a strong horse of his own to beat Gavin's even though he already has Sacramenta, the horse that he owns himself. Basically that is all that we learn in Chapter 1. So with the sibling rivalry we see already between Gavin and William, how do you think that this will play out in the rest of the book?
